Orion Custom Framing is a  preservation  level  framing  studio with  an  emphasis  on design,  craftsmanship  and a  passion  for  people  and  their  art  in  a  beautiful,  inspired  space.  We  opened our  first  location  in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, California  June,  2022. 

After seeing  the   immediate  response  to  a  much  needed  fresh   take  on  a  traditional  craft,  we knew  we  had something  special  and  we    had  to  expand  our  reach  to  share  our  love  for  preserving  and  beautifying  art. We just  opened  our  second  location  in  Russian Hill,  June  2024,  exactly  2  years  to-the-day  that  we  opened  our  first  studio! 

Though  our  story  is  new,

Owner, Micah Ruiz, is anything but new to framing. 

Micah brings over  2  decades  of picture framing expertise. His natural eye for design, proportion and  detail combined with  his  decades  of  experience is the perfect  combination to bring you an stress-free, efficient and thoughtful design every single time.  He has carefully assembled  and  trained  a  team  of  experienced  framers that  maintain  his  high  level  of  standards to  bring  you  the  perfect  framing  solution,  guaranteed.  

Orion Custom  Framing brings an enthusiastic and adaptable  style to our design. Our  passion and knowledge of picture framing  shines through in every piece.  

We pride ourselves on our creative problem  solving skills and say YES to everything.
